This is the first sound enhancement I have put together with the help of some friends, special thanks to Markus for teaching me how, MattyMwi, Archer, ZH, Dex and all the awesome people in the TrainSimCommunity discord
Compatible with TSW3 and TSW4
Changes
-All new prime mover sounds, ilde through notch 8 with inclusion of Eco Idle
-New K5 Horn
-New Bell sound
-Louder cab rattle sounds
I will be going back at some point to see if I can add brake reduction sounds, but since TSW4 broke a lot of sound mods with child RVD's or materials I figured I would release it how it is and update it after the issue has been fixed. If anyone would like to help with creating the sound cues for the brake reduction sounds please reach out to me. I am also looking at porting this over to the NS ES44AC but since it doesnt have all 8 notches ill have to do some mixing to make it work.
Installation Instructions
Simply place the pak file in your train sim world DLC folder

Epic. The horn is loud. Prime movers sound really good. I do find my earbuds struggling with the bass lol. Maybe decrease it a bit. But for your first sound mod, you did really great and would like to continue to see your work

Thanks I really appreciate it! I have been a bit busy lately but I'm gunna start work on the NS ES44 very soon, unfortunately it isn't set up with a notch 1-8 similar to the BNSF one, so ill have to remix the sounds to see what I can make work!

The sound is some of the best quality I've heard in the game so far, but there is a strange glitch where the horn will get stuck playing indefinitely. I've tried replicating it to find the cause, and it appears to happen when the horn is sounded in quick succession, but has happened when simply holding the button and releasing it.
Thanks I appreciate it! That's strange as I haven't heard of that issue or experienced it myself, are you by chance trying to use the sequencer? I'm pretty sure they broke it awhile back so it doesn't work correctly, but if you do get a chance to recreate it, please let me know and ill try to take a look and see if there is something on my end that could be causing it.
No I haven't tried using the sequencer, but it appears to happen when the button is pressed in quick succession, but has also happened by just holding the button. I would try just spamming the button and seeing if you can recreate the same problem.
Its a core route issue not the mod, Ive had it happen with a previous mod and with the default sounds
Had A mod cause me a lot of headaches, I'm putting the mods in 1 at a time, load test, install ect, your mod is installed now, it is strictly for the BNSF ES44C4 correct, and no other, I ask because I have not seen a BNSF ES44C4 with all game loading I have done, plenty of Aces and Cw's. Will keep looking.

Yes! This mod only contains the file path for sounds on the BNSF ES44C4 from Cajon Pass and no other locomotives or rolling stock, it should not effect anything besides the sounds themselves.
Yeah just updated my post, I appreciate the quick reply, thanks for making the mod, :) The sequencer I have not tried yet, but will let ya know, working on re-installing the mods :-\
Would it be possible to get a stand-alone version of the horn from this mod? Would be cool to have this horn on NS ES44AC too.
Best GEVO sounpack yet! I ran these locomotives for many years and that GE idle and chug brings me back to those days. The horn is good, it's a little high pitched and always sounds like it's coming at you at 70mph IMO, if it could be tweeked to be a little lower pitched it would be perfect. Otherwise FANTASTIC JOB!
