Since the last update for MML, the instruments are not legible at night as the needle stays dark.
I have added a lit background so the needles will stay visible - can't find a way to light up the needle itself. It may not look prototypical but it does the trick.
If Skyhook eventually patch it themselves in the future, remove this mod.
Installation Instructions
Drop the pak into your
\Steam\steamapps\common\Train Sim World 4\WindowsNoEditor\TS2Prototype\Content\DLC\
folder.
