Who said something about Southeastern Highspeed?
The Class 395 is finally no longer sounding like some made up off-brand washing machine thanks to whichever recordings I have lying around to fix it so! So what do we have here then? Let's find out:
New Recordings
- Hitachi traction motor recordings pull the Class 395 inside out from zero to hero (that means 140mph in British)
- High-quality rolling and running sounds bring the interior and exterior to life
- Track joints, doors, you name it - the usual...
Epic Horn
- A separate interior and exterior horn
- Speed-dependent audio: the horn becomes more raspy with speed!
Known Issues
- Just like with the Class 385, the low tone sometimes will or won't play the echo...
- Some sounds haven't been touched since last time so there's still room for more stuff

Just an FYI - the latest SEHS update + this placeholder (9) = no power handle sounds at all.
I know for a fact that this isn't true
I will make them slightly louder at your request. Prototypically, the power handle irl is near silent like those found on german traffic units.

Mate, love your mod. Would you be willing to restore the original door sounds along with making the sounds in cab somewhat louder (to dampen that dam fan they made so obnoxiously loud, I know there is a quieter fan mod but doesn't seem to do much).

Hi there, would it be possible in the future to add Interior Motor sounds for the passenger carriage, irl you can clearly hear the motors from the passenger vestibule. If this is not possible dont worry,

I'm sorry but after testing this mod its still not realistic enough. I live in Ashford and i go on the Class 395 Highspeed train every day to London and since the sound in the original TSW3 was terrible i looked for mods like these and this was the only thing i could find. After excessive testing of this mod at both DC and AC routes the sound is just still not realistic both in the cabin and in the passenger seats. U still get that bland ambience and you cant hear the train speeding up/slowing down

I hope you take this constructive feedback well because i love this DLC, its just small things like the sound and scenery details that are holding it back so much than it should have
I also live on southeastern high-speed. There's only so much I can do really, these mods are a lot work and you're asking for me to rework the train from scratch. As much as I'd like to say sure... this unfortunately is not a realistic proposal right now.
The sounds you hear as a passenger are very different to the sounds you hear in the cab. The Class 395 cab is very insulated. I'm assuming the "speeding up/slowing down" you're referring to are the traction motors, which are actually not audible in the cab in real life either.
The traction motors are under the passenger coaches, not the driving cab. That's why you hear the motor sounds in the passenger side. The driving cab is further away from the traction motors and has insulation so you can't really hear much. Obviously don't know exactly how it sounds since I'm not a train driver but it is what it is
I understand, I haven't been keeping up with updates but i just found out there was an update to this mod so I gave it a test.
I like that you can actually hear the traction motors much better now but once again its not 100% there, like if u compare it with the sound of the IRL version in the video I posted in my original comment, u can quite clearly discern a few differences like at high speeds its more of a hum rather than a high pitch whirring noise or when you are accelerating from about 40 to 100 KM/H, there are like subtle differences. However, I commend the effort and know things like these mods take a lot of effort to make so it is what it is. But overall its a good improvement. Its a 7/10 from me with the new updated version
With your new sounds, the traction motors are very audible in the cab. Realistically, according to DTG, the traction motors are barely audible in the cab. Is this sound pack designed to cater to the passenger listening experience instead of the driver's?
It's whatever. You either get motor sounds or you don't. It's not catering anything, it's the limit of my technical understanding.

as much as i adore this mod i find it a bit of a meh thing to drive sometimes because how loud the motors are in the cab, i love the fact the horn sounds lovely and the fan sounds are wonderfull i just wish there was a version where the motor sounds whre quieter but still audible in cab

I love this mod, however being able to hear the motors in the cabs is pretty unrealistic, as good as they do sound. The cabs are both trailer cars with the middle four being motored and in the cab with the aircon etc you just wouldn't really hear anything but track rumble and aircon. The door sounds would be very faint too. Hope this helps in a future tweak :)
ItsYa165 could you by any chance make a Train Sim World 4 Azuma sound mod or are you already making one? I know they are already pretty realistic but could you make it a little louder in the cab like this one. Its unrealistic but your sounds are sooo good it would be great. I know I'm asking for a lot however you could also provide a seperate version with quieter cab sounds. Also the running sounds on the outside are fom the electrostar so you could change those as well.
